How are prize amounts calculated?
Strike's Division 4 pays a fixed non-cash prize — a bonus Strike selection — instead of cash. Every other division, including the Division 1 jackpot, is pari-mutuel, a share of that draw's prize pool split among each division's own winners, and Division 1 rolls into the next draw's jackpot when unclaimed.
How do I claim a Strike prize?
Claim through the official Lotto NZ, not through this site — smaller prizes can usually be paid at any authorised retailer, while larger amounts require contacting the operator directly with the original ticket and ID. New Zealand prizes must be claimed within 12 months of the date the winning numbers were drawn; a prize not claimed within that window is forfeited and the money is paid into the prize reserve fund, not held open for a late claim.
Are Strike prizes taxed?
