In the UK EuroMillions draw on Friday 11 September 2026, the UK Millionaire Maker code was HBGR 43545, and The National Lottery's results record one UK winner of £1,000,000 against it. On 25 September, the Advertiser and Times reported that the prize was still waiting for whoever held the ticket, and that the ticket had been bought in the New Forest.
The call to check tickets bought in the New Forest
The National Lottery launched a public appeal for the winner to make contact. In comments carried by the Advertiser and Times, Andy Carter, a senior winners' advisor at The National Lottery's operator, Allwyn, made clear the search was serious. He urged anyone who might have picked up a EuroMillions ticket in the New Forest for the 11 September draw to check it.
He also asked people to cast their minds back to the days before the draw — a weekend away among the forest's ancient woodland, perhaps, or a pub lunch — and to recall whether they had stopped to buy a ticket. Somewhere, he said, someone had a £1 million surprise waiting and might not have any idea.
A claim, and the checks that come before any payout
On 13 October, the Advertiser and Times reported that the ticket-holder had come forward to claim the £1 million prize. Carter welcomed the news in comments carried by the paper, saying he was delighted the winner had come out of the woods to make their claim.
A claim is not yet a payout. According to the same report, the claim will go through validation before any winnings are released, and once that is done the prize is paid out at an appointment with a winners' advisor. After that, the ticket-holder gets to choose whether to go public. Allwyn has not named the winner, and the report said no details would be confirmed about whether the prize belongs to an individual or a syndicate unless the winner opts for publicity.
A UK EuroMillions win like this one rests on a code rather than on the balls drawn that night, and which code wins comes down to chance: a £1,000,000 Millionaire Maker prize is a genuine long shot for any single ticket. For anyone who played on 11 September, the full results for that night's draw are worth a look, as are the latest UK EuroMillions results.
For now, HBGR 43545 has a claimant and a process still to run. Whether the rest of us ever hear more is up to the ticket-holder.
